Prices are based on a full seven day rental and are in GB £'s.

Rates include unlimited mileage, insurance*, collision damage waiver (CDW)*, theft waiver*, airport surcharge (where applicable) breakdown recovery and all local taxes.
*Excesses apply - see CDW Reimbursement Excess Insurance below FROM £4.50 per day or £49 PER ANNUM.
Daily rates are calculated at 1/7th of the weekly rate for hires of more than a week.
For rentals of less than 7 days duration daily rates are 1/5th of the weekly rate.
Minimum rental period = 3 days. All cars are equipped with a radio and CD player.

Additional Information

Insurance/Local excess waiver insurance

All rates include third party liability insurance. Our car hire prices include Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection (TP) which covers you in case of damage / loss of a rented vehicle or its parts or accessories, fire, breakage of glass or theft for damage/repair to the vehicle. However, in all cases a non – waiverable excess (NWE) does apply where you will remain liable for an excess amount up to a maximum of Euros 420 on car groups A, B, and G; Euros 560 on car groups C,H,S,D,I,J Euros 835 on car groups N,E,F,M,K and Z, Euros 1115 on car groups,8,5,V,O and P and Euros 1370 on car group L.


The NWE can be waived by paying SUPER COVER (CDW+) locally charged at 5.60 Euros per day for vehicle groups A, B, and G, Euros 8.40 per day for vehicle groups C,H,S,D,I,J, Euros 11.20 per day for vehicle groups N,E,F,M,K,Z, Euros 13.80 per day for vehicle groups 8,5,V,O,P and L.

Additional Drivers:
Extra drivers charged at Euros 5 per day up to a maximum of Euros 50 per rental.

Driver’s licence and minimum age:
A valid national driving licence held for at least two years must be produced. Minimum age requirements for drivers – 21 years of age for car groups A,B,C,D,H,G,I,J,K or 25 years of age for all other car groups.

Maximum Age:
No maximum age limit.

Child seats and other items:
Baby seats and child seats (age 1-2 years/accomodating weights 9-18 kg) are charged at around Euros 4.2 per day up to a maximum of Euros 42 per rental. Paid locally.

Deposit:
A credit card imprint (Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Diners Club) required and pre-authorisation taken up to the value of estimated charges. No cash deposits accepted.

Delivery/Collection:
On request and subject to additional charges. All Split and Dubrovnik City pick ups will be charged a delivery fee of Euros 28 payable locally.

Out of hours Collection:
Euros 28 payable locally if collecting a car before of after office hours.

Car hire office locations:
Zagreb (city and airport), Pula (city and airport), Porec (city), Rovinj (city), Rijeka (city and airport), Zadar (city and airport), Split (city and airport), Dubrovnik (airport). See Delivery/Collection above for information on Split and Dubrovnik city pick ups.

One way rentals:
Free of charge between Oryx car rental offices. The exception is for rentals of 3 or 4 days in high season when a one way rental will be charged at Euros 45 + VAT payable locally. Returning the rented vehicle abroad is on request and subject to a fee.

Driving into neighbouring countries:
Oryx rent a car vehicles may be driven into any Western European country. Taking an Oryx rent a car vehicle into Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia is permitted subject to prior approval by Oryx rent a car. Cars are not permitted to be taken into Russia and all former USSR countries, Turkey, Iraq and Albania.

Please advise at time of booking if you wish to travel into a neighbouring country. Failure to advise about taking the car across borders will render all insurances void and make customers fully liable for theft, accidents, damage to the vehicle and other consequences.

GPS-Satellite Navigation:
Sat Nav available on request in English and Croatian Language. Charged at Euros 11 per day up to a maximum of Euros 110 per rental.

All items paid locally are charged in locally currency (HRK Croatian Kuna) and subject to Croatian VAT currently charged at 23%. Prices are sometimes given in Euros for guidance only.
