Act now to bag Ryanair's bargain travel to Croatia
20 January 2010Travellers intending to use Europe's biggest carrier to reach Croatia this summer may want to book quickly in order to secure the cheapest deals.
Ryanair, which transports more passengers across the continent than anyone else, is set to raise its prices for the first time in four years on April 1st, according to Bloomberg.com.
Zadar, the historic city in northern Croatia, is currently linked with several UK airports thanks to Ryanair flights.
Howard Miller, the airline's chief financial officer, told the business news website: "We've had a lot of discounting of fares as we've grown the business. We expect to increase profits by the combination of reducing costs and we think average fares will probably rise."
Ryanair fares fell by one per cent in 2008 and eight per cent in 2009.
Booking a budget flight could free up more of a holiday budget to be spent on a top-class Croatian villa or waterfront property, from which it may be possible to experience the best of the Balkan country.
The Irish airline is well-known for sometimes offering free flights and other stunts coordinated by owner Michael O'Leary.
