Adventure holidays in Croatia

Those looking for an adventure holiday in Europe this summer may want to choose a Croatia travel experience, it would seem.

People magazine in the US has reported that the Balkan nation, which is a popular vacation spot with travellers from across Europe and beyond, is one of the "Top Adventure Trips" one can take.

Stephanie Michaels, who wrote the article, said that Hvar island is one of the "must-see" places the country has to offer.

A holiday to Croatia was recommended as an adventure destination, alongside the exotic Costa Rica and the US state of Montana.

Three years ago, the National Geographic Adventure magazine named Croatia as the number one adventure nation, which once again highlights its capacity to thrill visitors.

Minister for the country's tourism department Damir Bajs said this week that he was happy with the level of visitors to Croatia during the opening period of the busy tourist season.
