Advice for holidaymakers who pack their pets

Croatian Villas has answered a number of queries from people looking to drive down to Croatia this summer with dogs in tow.
With this in mind, Hotel Resort Insider has a number of important messages for those who do bring man's best friend on holiday with them.
According to the website, it is vital that dogs travel in a ventilated carrier in the back of a vehicle - this advice also goes for anyone opting to take their cats to sunnier climates.
"Try to reach your destination before sunset if possible. This will allow your pet the chance to explore the new surroundings," the site warned, before adding that pets will need special attention when holidaymakers first arrive at the destination.
Anyone heading to Croatian accommodation with their pets this year may wish to take note of this advice.
