Advice offered to those heading on Croatia holidays
01 March 2011People heading to Croatia for a holiday in the country's capital city, Zagreb, have been handed some tips by an expert.
Alistair Fraser, writing for the Daily Telegraph, says the first thing to note is the affordable and tasty cuisine on offer in the city.
He recommends a restaurant named Kerempuh – located close to the main square of Jelacica – as being particularly delicious, with a price list that will please the average British traveller.
Also in the area is Zagreb's best market, Dolac, which Ms Fraser suggests contains many hidden treasures.
"Music lovers are spoilt for choice when looking for free concerts. The most atmospheric is the bandstand by Praska Street, a minute's walk from Jelacica Square, each Saturday evening in the spring and summer," the writer adds.
Budget airline easyJet recently launched a new service between London Gatwick and Zagreb, making it even easier for tourists to reach the capital.
