Agency appointed to promote Croatian holidays to Britons
15 January 2010An expert agency has been appointed by the Croatian Tourist Board to promote the country in the UK and Ireland - which could lead to many more Britons enjoying a Croatian holiday this year.
The beauty of the Adriatic coast, the history of Split and Zagreb, the picturesque setting of Plitvice National Park and the ancient walls of Dubrovnik may be among the many highlights JPR will aim to bring to the UK's attention.
A range of PR work will be undertaken designed to make Croatia appeal to everyone from a luxury traveller to a budget breaker, states PR Week.
JPR co-owner Jess Hilliard said: "Our efforts will dovetail with those of traditional partners, build relationships with niche markets and target independent travellers to reach the broadest possible audience."
The deal between the tourist board and JPR is worth a five-figure sum and will run until December 2010, the online news provider reveals.
Croatian villas and waterfront apartments in Dubrovnik could already be heavily booked, with women hoping to avoid the World Cup naming the historic city as their number one choice for a summer break, according to sunshine.co.uk.
