Airline signs deal to keep taking British travellers to Croatia
13 November 2009British tourists considering a luxury break in a Croatian villa may want to act now after Croatia Airlines signed an agreement to continue its London to Split flights until the end of November.
A leading hotelier association has also signed up to the agreement and hopes that a similar deal can be put in place for 2010, the Croatian Times reports.
Croatia Airlines has been offering flights from London to the Balkan city all summer and aims to restart the route from March 1st next year.
It may never be easier for travellers in the south of England who want to explore a country with sun and sand, as well as rich history, to take a break in a Croatian villa.
The arrangement is being partly funded by the hotel association with the aim of enticing a larger number of tourists to the Adriatic coast.
Last month the director of Zagreb Airport said he intends to cut costs involved with flying in and out of the travel hub so that more budget airlines can offer flights to the Croatian capital.
