Americans recommend Croatia travel experience

The delights offered by a holiday in Croatia have been acknowledged by the readers of one of America's top newspapers.

According to the Black Sea Association of News Agencies, those who buy the LA Times have voted the home of Croatia accommodation in a list of the top 40 must-see tourist destinations.

Whether it is the country as a whole, the mainland or the plethora of coastal resorts, the newspaper's poll suggests that the country has a number of places tourist will love.

Earlier this month, American celebrity Bridget Marquardt recommended the country as a somewhere to take a holiday.

The host of the popular programme Bridget's Sexiest Beaches told USA Today that she had a great time when she visited the southern city of Dubrovnik, describing it as "absolutely beautiful".

Former Slovenian basketball player Ivo Daneu, who is now 71 years old, also spent some time on a Croatia vacation in May - he opted to check out what the Dalmatia region had to offer, according to the Croatian Times.
