Another reason for Croatia travel

A new tourist attraction was opened in Dubrovnik this week, which could encourage more people to stay in Croatian villas.

Monday saw the reopening of Djurovica spilja, a cave located under the southern city's airport.

Open from 10:00 to 18:00 local time each day, the historical site is being shown to passengers heading into and away from their Dubrovnik holiday.

It has been suggested by the airport that local wines will be able to be stored in the cave to keep them fresh in the summer heat.

With a historic wall circumnavigating the old city and various food and drink outlets, Dubrovnik has lots to offer the discerning holidaymaker.

Popular beaches, clean coastline and beautiful scenery all help make the city a travel hotspot with vacationers across Europe and beyond.

The newly opened cave will provide visitors with yet another memory to take away with them.
