Armani looks to holiday Croatia style
20 July 2009When one of the world's most familiar fashion icons was choosing where to holiday Croatia was top of the list, reports the Croatian Times.
Giorgio Armani flew into Split from the similarly fashionable Italian city of Milan, according to a report published by the news provider from Croatian-language newspaper 24sata.
However, his vacation is not expected to be spent in one place, as his 70-foot yacht is due to sail along the coastline taking in Brac and Dubrovnik.
"For a long time, I have wanted to see this part of the Adriatic because I have heard so many wonderful stories about it," the Croatian Times reports Armani as saying.
He adds that he hopes to draw inspiration from his trip to incorporate into his designs for the upcoming autumn season.
Split could be the ideal destination for anyone hoping to experience the different elements of a holiday Croatia has to offer.
Along with beautiful beaches, the Croatian National Tourist Board notes the presence of two UNESCO World Heritage sites, including the nucleus of Split itself.
