Autumn holidays in Croatia "still very pleasant"
10 September 2010Those thinking the end of the traditional summer season signals a decline in the quality of a holiday in Croatia are wrong, if one expert is to be believed.
Meri Matesic, UK director at the Croatian National Tourist Office, says the next couple of months will be ideal for spending time in the sun-kissed country.
She notes September and October as months that, thanks to a Mediterranean climate, remain warm and just right for people who wish to travel around.
"It's not that hot, not overcrowded but very enjoyable especially for those who like discovering hidden treasures," Ms Matesic states.
People who prefer to take a break in luxury accommodation outside of the hottest months and times when large numbers of children are on their vacation may find all they are looking for in a Croatian villa this autumn.
Figures reported this week by Agence France-Press show the popularity of holidays in Croatia is growing, with the number of nights spent in the nation so far this year up three per cent on 2009.
