Beaches 'are a huge attraction on Croatia holidays'
29 June 2011Tourists planning Croatia holidays have been advised to allow for plenty of time on the country's beautiful beaches.
Guide2Croatia has told how US tourist site Travel Channel has identified the nation's top seaside retreats, which are to be found in Dubrovnik, Brela and Hvar.
Compiling its top ten list of the sexiest beaches in Croatia, the portal noted the importance of the coast to the country.
It suggested beaches have always been the best option for tourists on the Dalmatian coast and urged people to leave children at home in order to enjoy them fully.
Plat beach in Dubrovnik County won the award for the sexiest beach, with the site describing it as a beautiful and relaxing retreat that becomes a hub of partying by night.
The Dubrovnik Tourist Board believes the bluest spot on Earth, when viewed from space, is the Adriatic Sea close to the historic city in the south of the country.
