'Beautiful Tena' to represent Croatia at Eurovision
02 March 2009The ballad 'Beautiful Tena' has been chosen to represent Croatia at this year's Eurovision Song Contest.
Performed by Split native Igor Cukrov, the track was nominated by both a jury and the general public at the weekend's Dora competition in Istria's Opatija.
The 24-year-old will now take the song to the Russian capital of Moscow alongside Andrea Susnjara in two months time, where he will hope to win over music-lovers from up and down the continent.
Although performed by Cukrov, the song was written by Vjekoslava and Tonci Huljic, a local song writing duo.
According to the Croatian Times, Cukrov shot to stardom after competing in an event with the hit 'Operation Triumph'.
