Bilic reveals England ambitions

Croatian coach Slaven Bilic has revealed he would be disappointed if he did not get the opportunity to take the helm at an English club.

The football professional told the Vjesnik daily paper that once his time with the Croatian national team is over he would like to take a position in the UK.

"I would certainly be disappointed if I didn't become a coach of an England club, as I am a huge fan of English football," Bilic stated.

The ex-sportsman also revealed he has had several offers from teams but "can't tell right now whether any of them will be realised".

He stated a professional goal of his is to compete in the best European leagues, with England being his favourite.

Bilic played for English clubs West Ham United and Everton before retiring for a career in coaching.

Last month the Croatian coach distanced himself from rumours he was to join Tottenham Hotspur, telling the BBC he was concentrating on his job with Croatia.
