Book Croatia car hire to sample some sweet treats

Holidaymakers may be tempted to book Croatia car hire and head to the Lika region after hearing that a Belgian chocolatier has made her home in the area, providing handmade pralines to all those travelling through.

Speaking to Reuters, Christine Scholtes-Covic described what attracted her to this particular part of the country, which is apparently famed for its rivers, mountains, potatoes and the Plitvice waterfalls and lakes that prove to be a draw for tourists from around the world.

"I fell in love with the beautiful nature and clean air so I decided to come and live in Croatia," she remarked.

Now, her products - a blend of Belgian chocolate with Lika flavours such as fruit, lavender, cream, plum brandy, wine and honey - have made their way to shops in Zagreb, a measure of her success.

Jet-setters may also want to check out this latter destination which, according to Ivor Vuchelic who has lived in the city for the last ten years, has a number of architectural attractions, the Charlotte Observer reported.
