Book accommodation in Croatia to enjoy "world-famous conductor"

Classical music fans who book accommodation in Croatia ahead of a holiday this summer could plan their trip to coincide with a performance led by a top conductor.

Zubin Mehta is to take part in the annual Julian Rachlin and Friends event, which is held in Dubrovnik, reports the Croatian Times.

Describing Mehta as a "world-class conductor", the newspaper suggests he will be following in the footsteps of the likes of John Malkovich and Roger Moore – both of whom have been involved in the concert in recent years.

It will also be the first opportunity people have had to enjoy the work of Mehta in the ancient city since 1968.

And in addition to the prestigious concert starting on August 27th, tourists will find they have some time to explore the resort, which offers an abundance of history and romantic backdrops.

Dubrovnik is currently hosting its annual carnival – an event that could tempt those who would like to visit to the city sooner.
