British Airways launches new Dubrovnik services
12 March 2009British Airways is set to launch new services between London and Dubrovnik for the upcoming tourist season.
The air carrier will increase its number of flights from the British capital to the Adriatic resort up to 11 per week for the coming months, before reverting to four during the winter.
Last season, British Airways ferried about 50,000 travellers between the two cities - demonstrating the popularity of Croatia with British tourists.
Commenting on the coastal city's qualities, the company said: "Expect chic minimalist design hotels and rustic eateries serving exquisite Dalmatian seafood throughout the city."
The group suggested that no trip to Dubrovnik would be complete without seeing the "beautifully preserved medieval fortifications" of its UNESCO-listed Old Town.
Earlier this week, a spokesman for Abta - the Travel Association, described Croatia as one of the best overseas break destinations for those holidaymakers keen on value for money.
