Budva continues to attract tourism
12 May 2009Budva in Montenegro has reported that early May tourism figures are similar to the corresponding time last year.
Some of those heading to the area are staying in private accommodation, according to Tourism Organisation of Budva.
Director of the tourism group Jelena Radjenovic said that she is confident ahead of the usually busy summer season, reports Visit-Montenegro.
It is expected that holidaymakers will continue to head to the country for their 2009 vacations, as early indications about tourism levels are positive.
Travel to nearby Croatia is popular too, with a number of airlines opting to establish new routes to the country from across Europe this summer.
Services between Dubrovnik and Milan, Paris, Berlin are Geneva are scheduled to begin in July and August with easyJet.
The carrier also plans to link Brussels, Belgium with the old walled city to add to the routes it already provides from the UK.
