Bus 'provides holidaymakers with great chance to see more of Croatia'
10 January 2011People who take a holiday in Croatia and would like to see plenty of the country while sticking to a budget should travel by bus.
That is the view of Paul Bradbury, writing for Suite101.com, who explains it is the cheapest form of transport in the Balkan nation.
As well as requiring a very small financial outlay, bus travel may be popular with tourists as it offers the potential to enjoy some of Croatia's famous scenery.
"Cheaper than the train, the network of routes is much better - particularly up and down the coast - and the bus is the only land option from Split to Dubrovnik," Mr Bradbury states.
He goes on to note bus travel is ideal for those wishing to visit the Adriatic islands, as timetables typically suit ferry schedules and offer an easy way to explore.
Among the most popular islands people may wish to discover are Brac, Hvar and Korcula.
