Business travellers to Croatia advised to head to Varazdin
19 May 2011Varazdin has been named as the best location for those travelling to Croatia to do business to head to.
According to this year's Regional Competitive Index, Varazdin County came out on top of Zagreb City, Istria, Medjumurje and Zagreb County as the commercial hub of the nation, reports the Croatian Times.
The report is designed to illustrate the strengths and weaknesses of business in each of the areas.
In total, 21 counties and three major regions were included, with suggestions made on how to improve economic competitiveness in each, the newspaper notes.
The emergency of a clear top five – headed by Varazdin – could affect the decisions of those planning business travel to Croatia over the coming months.
Experts also found the north-west of the country is the most powerful of all its regions.
The publication recently revealed Zagreb is one spot that is enjoying a boost in arrivals, with a two per cent surge in visitors in April compared with the same month in 2010.
