Cable innovators to bring roadshow to Croatia
03 April 2008People who choose to rent an apartment or villa in Croatia could be treated to yet another technological innovation which boosts both entertainment and communication in their accommodation.
This week has seen telecommunications giant Prysmian Cables and Systems set off on its Fibre to the Home (FTTH) European roadshow, taking in popular holiday destinations including Turkey and Germany as well as Croatia.
With the adoption of FTTH expanding rapidly around the world, Prysmian's mobile technology facility will grace a variety of telecoms conferences in countries keen to up the technological ante for residents and tourists alike.
Giovanni Scotti, director of Prysmian's global telecom business, explained that the roadshow features a specially-constructed interactive exhibition trailer full of the firm's latest FTTH product solutions.
"Our roadshow in western Europe last year attracted more than 1,200 visitors with a direct interest in FTTH," he continued.
"The feedback we received from them regarding the value of this type of activity was extremely positive and we expect a similar reaction from this year's event," he added.
Visitors to the roadshow will be able to get hands-on experience of the different technologies, which include bend-insensitive fibre and a new cable system to suit areas of Croatia with a number of houses or villas in close proximity.
