Camping may allow Croatian villa holidaymakers to take adventurous day trips

Tourists looking to explore Croatia from a base - such as a Croatian villa - this summer may wish to consider advice from the Caravan Club, which says it is now operating a number of new sites in the Balkan country.

Exploring the whole of the country can be time-consuming due to its size and wealth of sights to visit, but spending a night or two camping may help to ease pressure on a schedule.

Camping could even be used when travelling between Croatian villas or waterside properties in different parts of the Balkans.

The Caravan Club has released its Continental Caravanning Brochure for 2010, which details a number of brand new camping hotspots in Croatia.

Ken Faulkner, the club's head of travel service, said: "This guide is essential reading for any tourer venturing into Europe."

The Caravan Club has more than one million members in Britain - many of whom may wish to consider a Croatian holiday.
