Chagall exhibition opens in Split
07 May 2009Anyone staying in Croatian villas near Split this summer may wish to check out the Marc Chagall exhibition in the city.
Having opened on May 5th, the showcase for the naturalised French painter will be on show in Split's old town hall until August 9th.
Those who choose a Dalmatia vacation for their holiday this year - specifically one of the northern hotspots - will be within easy access of the historic city and all it has to offer.
Anyone staying on Dalmatia islands such as Brac or Bol can reach Split via the regular ferry service that runs between the islands and the mainland throughout each day.
The art on show for the Chagall exhibition will be varied, including paintings, book illustrations and ceramics.
Russian-born Chagall also created artwork in the form of stained glass, stage sets, tapestries and prints.
