Coast 'is perfect spot for a Croatia holiday'

Croatia's beautiful coastline has been identified as the perfect spot for a dream holiday by one travel expert.

Meri Matesic, director of the Croatian National Tourist Office in London, said every seaside resort in the nation seems to attract an increasing number of visitors every year.

"Each of those has something different for different type of travellers – from family vacation, culture explorers, nature lovers, island hoppers or partygoers. Some of them of course have all that together," she explained.

People seeking history, culture and sophistication might find all they desire in the ancient city of Dubrovnik.

However, those on the hunt for music and parties could be wise to head to the central and northern parts of the Dalmatian coast, where a series of events are due to be held this summer.

For example, the renowned Soundwave Festival and Garden Festival are both due to be held in Petrcane, close to Zadar, this summer.
