Croatia Airlines purchases planes
23 October 2008Croatia Airlines has signed an agreement to purchase four new planes to add to its medium haul fleet in order to expand its network.
The airline, the flag carrier of the Republic of Croatia, has agreed to the delivery of the A319s, which will improve the service they provide.
With new cabin designs and a modern tone to the interior, the new planes will enhance passenger comfort leading to a better flight experience, the company says.
Ivan Misetic, president of Croatia Airlines, said the purchase would improve the future prospects of the company.
"This strategic decision will allow us to meet the future demand of our customers with the most modern, fuel efficient and environmentally-friendly aircraft," he added.
An A319 can take 132 passengers and has two class options. The plane will charter extended flights in Europe and domestic flights in Croatia.
Recent news that Jet2.com has introduced new flights from Belfast to Croatia's Dubrovik will also make it easier for people to visit the country.
