Croatia 'has established itself as a top tourist destination'

Travelling to Croatia could appeal to tourists after the country was named as one of the emerging destinations of the last decade by a pair of bloggers.

As well as Buenos Aires, Krakow and Cambodia, a Croatian holiday emerged as a "trendy, must-visit travel destination" in the first ten years of the 21st century, according to Nicholas Sabloff and Adam Taylor, writing for the Huffington Post.

Such success may have cemented Croatia's reputation as one of the world's top travel spots as the next decade begins.

The writers suggest that joining Croatia as a desirable location in the coming years will be Seoul, Cuba and Antarctica.

Croatia's blend of immaculate sandy beaches and ancient cities - such as Dubrovnik and Split - may be behind its noticeable success.

Some people may wish to consider booking a Croatian holiday for the upcoming half-term break, which the Telegraph stated many Britons will use as a chance to escape the recent cold weather in the UK.
