Croatia holiday hotspots revealed
15 June 2009Hvar Island and Pag Island, which are located off Croatia's Dalmatia coast, have been highlighted as ideal holiday destinations.
Anyone who opts for a Croatia travel experience this year may find these two places are worth visiting, according to budget airline easyJet.
As "one of Dalmatia's most popular islands" Hvar provides "beautiful sandy and pebbly beaches, quiet secluded coves and large bustling beaches littered with bars and cafes".
The carrier also suggested that Pag Island has a reputation for offering tourists value for money - it is also often compared to the Spanish party island of Ibiza due to its "wild nightlife" and large seaside parties.
Paul Simmons, UK general manager for easyJet, commented: "There are more than a thousand [Croatian] islands to visit, some of the cleanest and most remote beaches in the Mediterranean [and] a nightlife that rivals that of action-packed resorts like Ibiza."
Holidaymakers will be able to find plenty of accommodation on the islands, while there are also a number of attractions on the mainland in cities such as Split and Dubrovnik.
