Croatia holidaymakers set to enjoy fashion market
12 March 2010Travellers heading to Croatia this weekend will be able to visit Split's first fashion flea market, set to take place tomorrow (March 13th).
Split student Marija Kupresanin came up with the idea after discussions with her fellow academics online, according to the Croatian Times.
Finding a bargain or two may be an attractive proposition to those currently enjoying a Croatia holiday on the Adriatic coast.
Ms Kupresanin told the newspaper: "The city of Zagreb already has flea markets and I was asking myself why Split had not organised something like that."
She hopes to make the fashion market a tradition in Split, which could tempt visitors to return to Croatia regularly.
It was recently revealed by Guide2Croatia that Split will be more accessible to Europeans than ever in 2010.
The number of flights heading to the ancient coastal city will top 1.5 million over the year, the online publication noted.
