Croatia is a 'paradise location'

Croatia is a paradise with friendly people and a safe feeling for travellers, a family review of a trip to the country says.

Randy and Cristy Pollak and their daughters Erin and Dana visited Croatia and described a trek from Zagreb to Dubrovnik as a "spectacular paradise", InsideBayArea.com reports.

The family recommend the country's cafes for grilled fish and say a daily ice cream while visiting Croatia "is a must".

In addition, they say visiting the Plitvice Lakes National Park is essential while on your travels

The family said in their review for the source: "It is as spectacular as the travel photos you see with turquoise clear lakes and the sound of 1,000 waterfalls as you wander through the forests of every known shade of green."

Randy and Cristy say they visited the open-air market each day to get fresh produce from local farmers.

Expedia recently revealed that Croatia is an emerging food destination, ranking it sixth in its top ten list.

The company states the country's cuisine mainly consists of seafood but the local people "know how to turn simple grilled fish into a masterpiece".
