Croatia offers 'something for everyone'
13 January 2009Croatia has been identified as the perfect holiday destination in terms of both value and experience.
The Mirror newspaper has reported that the locations such as Dubrovnik not only offer spectacular sights and great weather, but a range of accommodation to suit all needs, including hotels, apartments and Croatian villas.
What's more, the country's position outside of the eurozone also ensures that travellers are not exposed to uncompetitive exchange rates.
The newspaper noted: "Red-roofed Dubrovnik gets busy with cruise passengers during the day, but at night its cobbled streets are lined with bars and restaurants.
"The sea is crystal clear and clean, and there are plenty of family-friendly hotels."
It added that the Adriatic hotspot also benefits from cheap flight routes, with Thomson, Flybe and easyJet among others offering direct travel from a number of regional UK airports.
Scores of tourists are expected to descend on Dubrovnik next month when the city plays host to its annual carnival season.
