Croatia provides 'perfect' family holiday
23 January 2009Families visiting Croatia this summer can look forward to the time of their life, providing they forget to bring the kids.
That's according to the travel writer Chris Middleton, who reported in the Telegraph how one family holiday provided relaxation, excitement and frustration in equal amounts.
Stopping off at stunning destinations such as the waterfalls of Plitvice National Park and the country's bustling capital city, the Middleton clan found they were at least never short of things to do.
Mr Middleton wrote: "There are stacks of interesting things to do and see in Zagreb, a lovely old town with a funicular railway and central market."
He added that while the children proved a constant menace, the city itself provided a fantastic array of restaurants, cafes and enthralling entertainment.
Elsewhere in Croatia, visitors to the coastal resort Rijeka tomorrow (January 24th) will be in for a treat as the town's festival chooses its yearly carnival queen.
