Croatia scoops business travel award

Croatia has officially been recognised as one of the best locations on the planet for business travellers.

The Adriatic hotspot was handed the silver medal for best overseas destination at the recent International Confex event in London, which celebrates excellence in corporate travel.

Croatia beat off stiff competition from Denmark to come in at second place, but fell behind Australia which grabbed top spot.

Event director for the organiser, Duncan Reid, was absolutely thrilled with the results.

He said: "The Confex Stand Awards are all part of celebrating the work that our exhibitors put into the show and the campaigns.

"They celebrate creativity, innovation and a lot of hard work and I'm pleased to say that our exhibitors have really pulled out all the stops to help us deliver a fantastic show."

Esteemed judges at the event included Event Magazine's Chantelle Thorley, Paul Colston of Conference News and the renowned James Barrett of Exhibiting Magazine.
