Croatia to be this summer's 'hottest' holiday
20 January 2009Holidays in Croatia are set to soar in popularity this summer as travellers look for the perfect credit crunch break.
In recognition of this, Kent International Airport has revealed that it is to be offering more chartered flights to the spectacular Adriatic location, KentOnline reported.
Speaking to the website, one expert highlighted how Croatia not only offered potential holiday bargains, but an abundance of sight-seeing opportunities too.
Alison Keeble, regional charter director for Newmarket Holidays, told KentOnline: "Aside from 1,750 km of Adriatic coastline and the wonderful walled city of Dubrovnik, there are stunning lakes, waterfalls and rapids at Plitvice National Park."
She added that visitors would not be short of inspiration for activities in the region, while Croatia's location outside the eurozone would also provide value for money.
Earlier this month, easyjet announced that it would be providing new routes to Dubrovnik from Liverpool's John Lennon Airport from this summer.
