Croatia to host glamorous yacht show
28 August 2009Sibenik in Croatia is set to host the second annual Adriatic Boat Show this September.
More than 200 exhibitors are set to show off 220 vessels at the marina in the city, which has gone through a renaissance in recent years as a tourist hotspot.
The event is designed to promote Croatian boatbuilding and the megayacht tourism industry and is likely to attract visitors from all around the globe.
Running from September 17th to 21st, the exhibition will feature products from up to 1,000 global nautical brands.
In 2008, 22,000 people attended the event and organisers are hoping for an even bigger turn out this year.
Over the five days of the show, a number of entertainment spectacles will be on display as well as fine food from the region's restaurants.
According to Reuters, the Vjesnik newspaper reported that the Croatian Minister for Tourism Damir Bajs heralded the last six weekends as the most successful in the country's history.
