Croatia to open Jurassic Park

A Jurassic Park-inspired theme park has recently opened in Porec, Istria.

The attraction, which is the second of its kind in Europe, is home to eight imitation dinosaurs which range from 16 to 24 metres in length, according to the daily Jutarnji list and reported by the Croatian Times.

For younger children, three miniature recreations of the prehistoric beasts are available to ride on and a children's playroom is soon to be added.

A number of extra attractions, including trains and planes, are also due to be available to tourists at the park in the near future.

Those lucky enough to be travelling to Istria in August could also get a chance to visit the spectacular St Pelagius Festivity in Novigrad, which offers traditional games, sporting competitions and a dazzling firework display in the evening.

St Pelagius Festivity runs from August 21st to 28th.

Novigrad lies on the west coast of Istria and has a long distinguished history of welcoming holidaymakers.
