Croatia to show FTV from September
18 June 2008Fashion TV (FTV) is to begin broadcasting in Croatia from mid-September after a broadcasting deal was agreed.
The Paris-based channel will be shown in the country after Serbian broadcaster TV Pink agreed to launch a new version of the international channel in the Balkans, broadbandtvnews.com reports.
Regional programming will initially account for 30 per cent of the channel's output in Croatia but this could increase.
Non-Croatian produced programmes will be subtitled in Croat for the home audience.
French visitors in particular may be interested to note that Michel Adam, the owner of Fashion TV, and TV Pink have agreed to launch a "party channel" called F Party TV and fashion cafes and restaurants in the country.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed BBC Worldwide has come to an agreement with Croatian broadcaster HRT to show over 300 hours of its drama and factual content in the country.
It is believed the deal is the biggest BBC Worldwide has signed in Croatia, C21 Media reports.
