Croatia vacation help for Czechs and Slovaks
01 July 2009Czechs and Slovaks heading on a Croatia holiday this summer will be able to request the help of police officers from their home countries, it has emerged.
Policemen and women from the two central European nations will be present in Dalmatia in case tourists need help communicating with the authorities, reports the Croatian Times.
It comes after Earth Times reported that Germany will also have a police presence in Croatia - in Istria - throughout the next two months.
Although tourists will hope their Croatia vacation will not be disrupted by dealings with police, the fact that officials are close by will surely be of comfort.
The Croatian police will be distributing tourist information accordingly over the summer.
Last month, the same news source reported that Croatia has been given 115 Blue Flags for beaches and 20 Blue Flags for marinas this year, which could be one reason why foreigners keep returning to the country for their holidays.
