Croatian Adriatic 'beautiful and fascinating'
16 April 2009The unique coastline of the Adriatic has been highlighted as a great place to holiday.
With prices up to 20 per cent cheaper than most eurozone resorts, the Croatian city of Dubrovnik has been suggested as the perfect vacation spot by Dave Richardson at TTG Live.
Anyone looking for culture will not miss out, with the coastal city being one of the oldest in the region, filled with bars, restaurants, cobbled streets and places to visit.
However, those who want to get away from it all should look towards the islands off of the coast, namely Kolocep, Korcula, Lopud and Mljet.
Other islands suggested by Mr Richardson include the "upmarket" destinations of Hvar and Brac, both of which are off the coast of Makarska.
Many cheap airlines fly to the region's cities, including Split and Pula, making the country a great option for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing break.
