Croatian buildings shortlisted at World Architecture Festival

Croatia has been honoured with no less than eight buildings on the shortlist for the World Architecture Festival

Fifteen categories have been announced for completed buildings and ten for future projects as well as interiors and fit outs and structural design.

The Parish Church Of Saint Luke the Evangelist and the Emergency Terminal in Zagreb are nominated in the Civic and Community category with the Arena Zagreb, City Sports Hall in Varazdin and a multipurpose sports hall in Zatika all on the list in the Sports category.

Visitors to Croatia will be able to marvel at these globally celebrated architectural structures as well as enjoy a host of more classical buildings in the country.

The World Architecture Festival attracted 2,000 visitors last year and entrants from more than 63 countries.

Organisers expect an even bigger turnout at this year's event as 722 entries were judged for the contest.
