Croatian club season 'taking off' with warm weather

"Summer has finally arrived", claimed Croatian newspaper Javno, as the warm-weather clubbing season gets underway in the country.

The Aquarius club, located at Zrce beach on the island of Pag, saw "at least a thousand people" pass through its doors on Saturday (July 11th) night, its public relations manager Dean Labor told the paper.

With two resident Croatian DJs - DJ Daisy and DJ Zuthy, the club also expects to host a performance from DJ Tom later in the week which "should convince anyone who thinks Croatia does not have real resident DJs otherwise".

The club, which has a pool, will play host to a number of international artists later in the summer, including Roger Sanchez, The Shapeshifters, Hed Kandi and Niki Belucci among others.

According to Find Croatia, Zrce beach is home to three clubs which are open year-round during the summer months.

Known as the "Ibiza of Croatia", holidaymakers can enjoy a night out at Aquarius, Papaya and Kalypso.

The pebbly beach is a popular summer destination among locals, as well as people enjoying a holiday in Croatia.
