Croatian fashion show 'set to entertain weekend holidaymakers'
26 February 2010Travellers heading to Croatia for a holiday this weekend may be served another reminder of the country's strong reputation in the fashion world when 25 females take to the catwalk in Split.
The women - all of whom are journalists in the historical Croatian city - will display colourful dresses and garments in aid of charity, the Croatian Times reports.
Enjoying the latest fashion to come out of Croatia may be close to the top of the list for many travellers to the country.
Organiser of the show and journalist Olgica Ivic Grizelj tells the newspaper: "My wish was to dress the girls in different colours and styles. I wanted to show them how something completely different could be good for them."
The event takes place at Split's Hemingway Club at 20:00 local time tomorrow (February 27th).
It was reported by the publication earlier this week that Croatian fashion design firm Hippy Garden will exhibit some of its items at the upcoming London Fashion Week.
