04 March 2009Croatia's Zagreb Dox film festival has been singled out for a major industry prize, it has been reported.
The event - which was held last month - and its artistic director Nenad Puhovski have been handed the European Documentary Network 2009 award, according to the Croatian Times.
This year's festival saw approximately 150 films from 30 different nations shown to audiences in the final week of February.

"Thanks to it, many films, projects and professionals have received the attention they deserve."
The group added that the showcase had only been made possible with Nenad Puhovski's "devotion and passion".
The award ceremony for Zagreb Dox is due to be held on March 20th.
In February, it was reported that the popular Croatian film star Rade Serbedzija had been shortlisted for an acting award at 29th Annual Genie Awards in Canada.
