Croatian food firm expands
14 May 2009Because getting a taste for the culture of a country is one of the reasons people choose a specific vacation, Croatia may have found the new secret - expanding its Izvorno hrvatsko chain.
The shop sells foodstuffs that are unique to Croatia - providing customers with a real insight into what the local people eat - and a new shop has now been opened in Split, reports the Croatian Times.
It is the second Izvorno hrvatsko to appear in the country, as one is already up and running in Zagreb.
Holidaymakers in the Split region will now be able to purchase goods from the store and take them back to their Croatian villas to make an ethnic meal.
Even those on nearby islands such as Brac and Bol could head to the mainland to pick up items from the shop.
The newspaper indicates that it may not be long until people on a Dubrovnik holiday can sample the tasty treats of the food retailer, as there are plans to open the first store in the southern city soon.
