Croatian football manager linked with new job

Celtic Football Club's executives could soon be in need of accommodation in Croatia - that is if they want to talk to the country's soccer boss Slaven Bilic about the vacant manager's job in Glasgow.

Bilic has received rave reviews since taking charge of his home country, but he has expressed a desire to possibly take on the job at Parkhead following the departure of Gordon Strachan earlier this week.

Last year, the former West Ham United and Everton player guided Croatia to the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland, at the expense of Steve McClaren's England side.

Rudi Vata, the manager's agent, told the BBC this week: "Slaven is certainly available to talk to Celtic but we have not heard anything."

Next weekend could be an ideal time for Celtic representatives to travel to Croatia, as the country is hosting a match between Bilic's men and Ukraine.

Thousands of football fans will be in need of Croatia accommodation on Saturday June 6th - the night of the match.
