Croatian holiday could appeal to fans of Italian author
26 January 2010Literature fans may be interested in a trip to Zagreb after learning that Italian journalist and author Paolo Rumiz is set to speak in the Croatian capital.
Mr Rumiz will be discussing his work as a journalist, as well as his most famous books, at the event at the Profil Megastore Library on January 28th, the Croatian Times reports.
The appearance of Mr Rumiz is part of Zagreb's Italian culture evening - which could in itself be a reason for lovers of all things Italian, from pasta to Pavarotti, to visit the opposite side of the Adriatic Sea.
According to the newspaper: "The evening with Rumiz is the first event of a series - the aim of which is to introduce the most prominent representatives of Italian culture to [Croatia]."
Other events coming up in Croatia which may entice people to travel to Split, Dubrovnik or Zagreb include performances by Sting and The Police and Deep Purple.
