Croatian holidaymakers to face fewer delays
05 November 2008The Croatian Ministry of Transport has announced the country's airports will cease to control transit or transfer luggage from November 1st, it has been reported.
It applies to luggage from airports in the European Union (EU), the National Commission for the Protection of Croatian Air Transport has decided, according to javno.com.
The organisation says it is introducing a one-stop security principle in all Croatian airports to ensure a faster flow of luggage in transfer and transit.
Protection measures will be implemented in the airport where the passenger departs from and will have no further checks at transit or transfer airports, the source says.
The decision was taken after consultation with the European Energy Transport Commission about security measures in EU member countries.
