Croatian holidays in 2010 could be combined with Deep Purple gig
25 January 2010Tourists may wish to start snapping up Croatian holiday deals - including stays in luxury Croatian villas - if they intend to catch rock icons Deep Purple in action in the country.
A concert in the Croatian capital of Zagreb has been set for June 5th at the Dom Sportova hall, reports the Croatian Times.
Deep Purple's visit to Zagreb will be the 13th city the group visit on their upcoming world tour.
The newspaper suggests that Deep Purple - along with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath - are the "pioneers" of heavy metal and rock music.
As such, the chance to combine a performance by the iconic group with a trip to one of Europe's most historic cities may be too good to refuse.
Deep Purple have sold more than 100 million records worldwide - meaning fans from all corners of the globe could be set to secure their Croatian villa in time for the event.
Last week British band The Police - complete with lead singer Sting - announced they too will perform in Croatia this summer.
