Croatian island 'tempting international investors'

International property investors are increasingly being attracted to Ciova on the Dalmatian coast, it has been revealed.

Several new apartments are being built on the Croatian island, which is only 30 kilometres from Split and 15 minutes drive from Split Kastela/Resnick international airport, homesgofast.com reports.

The website claims the number of new developments on Ciova makes it worth considering for off-plan property.

It also recommends Trogir, the town which acts as a gateway to the island from mainland Croatia.

Recently made a UNESCO heritage site, it is located on a small island of its own and is said to have a "gorgeous waterfront" and the "all the amenities of a small city", as well as several existing homes and new builds for holiday home buyers.

Visnja Ambraesc, editor of the In Your Pocket guide to Croatia, claimed recently the popularity of property in the country is growing.

She added accessing loans and buying property should become easier in the next year or two, so more people will be able to relocate to the country.
