Croatian male model set to star in Sex and the City

The second big screen incarnation of Sex and the City is set to star a Croatian former male model, it has been revealed.

According to the Croatian Times, Filip Kleva, a former Mr Croatia, is lined up to play the love interest of man-eater Samantha Jones, played by Kim Cattrall.

It will be the sequel to the hit movie that reunited the original cast of the hugely popular TV show based on the book by Candace Bushnell.

Mr Kleva spoke to the newspaper about the role.

He said: "I'll love the role as Samantha has been my favourite character in Sex and the City…I'm very excited about it."

Many of the world's hottest stars have been heading to Croatia for their summer holidays this year.

RnB superstar Beyonce Knowles and husband rap mogul Jay Z have been spotted enjoying the Adriatic waters around Dubrovnik.

Film star Mickey Rourke has also visited the area to promote his film the Wrestler.
