Croatian medical tourism trend highlighted

Medical tourism has become very popular in recent years and Croatia is one of the destinations people are heading to.

MSNBC has highlighted the growing trend for people getting discounted medical treatments abroad, with dentistry among the popular options.

Mijkenko Bura, the founder of Medical Group, said that Croatia has "excellent medical staff and a long tradition".

Commenting on the country's suitability for medical tourism, TreatmentAbroad told MSNBC that feedback had been "very positive".

Natalie Pavlicevic-Kustic, who runs a small dental clinic with her husband, added: "The [patients] are often very surprised by the quality of service and when they find out how affordable the prices are, they come back and they plan to combine their next summer holiday with dental work."

Before or after such treatment would be the perfect time to take in some of Croatia's beautiful scenery, such as the stunning beaches of the Adriatic coast or the culture and architecture of Zagreb.
